Minibus And SUV Collide At Hampton

Barbados’ mass casualty machinery was pressed into action early this afternoon when 23 people were injured in a smash up involving a minibus and a sports utility vehicle. The quiet stretch of Hampton Road, St. Philip became a scene of glass and twisted metal after the two vehicles collided around 1:23 p.m. leaving 22 persons from the bus nursing various injuries. Only one, Nigel Hewitt of 4th Avenue New Orleans, St. Michael, was reported to be in serious condition. (Source: Barbados Today)

It's a time of giving and sharing and the hope is that the season will bring with it lots of cheer, good health and prosperity.   This expectation may seem utopian. Nevertheless persons are never deterred from trying to attain it. They will spend all and in the end be spent themselves to reach their goal and meet every expectation. The Barbados Fire Service is in possession of a new bus. The 30 seater Nissan vehicle was delivered yesterday morning to Fire Service Headquarters, on Probyn Street, Bridgetown.
