House Destroyed By Fire At Eckstein Village

Firefighters attended a house fire at Eckstein Village, St. Michael this afternoon. Fire officers using two fire tenders and a water tanker under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill battled the blaze which destroyed the timber dwelling and slightly damaged two others. An ambulance was also summoned to treat two persons affected at the incident.

Motor Accident At Pilgrim Road

Two fire tenders under the command of acting Station Officer David Barrow attended a motor vehicle accident near the Airport Commercial Centre, Pilgrim Road, Christ Church which damaged two vehicles around 1800 hours yesterday. Extrication was required using the Jaws of Life to free one of the occupants trapped as a result of the accident. The injured were treated and transported to hospital via ambulance. Three Vehicle Accident At Watts Village

Three people were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital today (January 11) to be treated for a number of injuries after a three vehicle accident at Watts Village, St. George. The vehicles were extensively damaged and the road was left impassable for some time afterwards. Another dwelling has been destroyed by fire. Just after 0252 hours this morning (January 5) a stone and timber house at Cheshire, St. John went up in flames. Two fire tenders under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill responded to the incident.

Fatal Accident Near Glebe, St. George

Two fire tenders from the Bridgetown Fire Station under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill responded to a motor vehicle accident in the early hours of this morning. The accident occurred near the Glebe, St. George just after 1 a.m. and resulted in a pedestrian being struck and pinned under a vehicle. The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident.

Transport Board Bus Destroyed By Fire

Firefighters with one fire tender responded to a bus fire last night. One Transport Board bus was destroyed by fire just after 2040 hours at Sugar Hill, St. Joseph. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Truck Damaged After Going Off A Precipice

Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident just after 1236 hours at Chapel Road, St. James today (November 25). One truck was extensively damaged after it went over a precipice and collided with a section of stairs on a nearby house. Flat Rock, St George Home Destroyed By Fire

Another dwelling has been destroyed by fire. Fire officers responded to a house fire at Flat Rock, St George around 0048 hours this morning (November 24). On arrival the timber structure was found to be engulfed in flames. Two fire tenders under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill attended the incident; the occupant was not at home at the time of the blaze.

One timber structure was extensively damaged this afternoon after a fire at Dean's Village, St. Michael. Two fire tenders from the Bridgetown Fire Station under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill responded to the incident. The occupant was not at home at the time of the blaze.

Motor Vehicle Accident On Maxwell Road

The driver of a motor car was treated by paramedics and later transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a vehicle accident around 2054 hours last night. Two persons were traveling in the vehicle when the accident occurred on Maxwell Road, Christ Church. The front of the vehicle was extensively damaged after it collided with a house. Two fire tenders under the command of acting Station Officer David Barrow responded to the incident.

Fire At Dodds Land Burns Two Homes

An early morning fire at Dodds Land, St. Philip has destroyed one timber house with contents and extensively damaged a second stone and timber dwelling. The blaze which occurred just before 2 a.m. this morning (September 17) was fought by eight officers with two fire tenders under the command of Divisional Officer Ricardo Gittens and Station Officer Mervin Mayers. Investigations are continuing.

Swift Action By Firefighters Save Home

Swift action by firefighters prevented the destruction of a dwelling house at 1st Avenue, Weekes Land, Goodland, St. Michael this morning. Firefighters were alerted to smoke emanating from the residence and quickly responded, making a forced entry to the property just after 8 a.m. One saucepan was damaged by fire; the occupant was not at home at the time of the incident.

The fire bug has struck again, this time at Britton's Hill, St. Michael. One timber dwelling was destroyed by fire just before 0500 hours this morning (June 27). A second house was also extensively damaged by the blaze, two fire tenders from the Bridgetown Fire Station under the command of acting Station Officer Denton Foster responded.

Major Grass Fire At Hothersal

A large grass fire located in the Belle, Friendship and Hothersal, St. Michael area has kept firefighters and resources busy for several hours. The fire which started sometime after 1300 hours today has already consumed several acres and is still currently in progress. (Images: BFF/JP)

A stone and timber dwelling located at Venture, St. John was extensively damaged by fire around 0808 hours today (June 17). Two fire tenders under the command of Divisional Officer Ricardo Gittens and Station Officer Gordon Boxill responded to the blaze. A second home also received minor damage as a result of this fire.

Motor Vehicle Accident At Road View

A motor vehicle accident which involved a Transport Board bus and two cars at Road View, St Peter this morning left four people with injuries. One woman was trapped in her car and had to be extricated by members of the Barbados Fire Service using the Jaws of Life. Fire officers under the command of Divisional Officer Lloydson Phillips responded to the incident.
