Minibus Overturns At Gibbs, St. Peter
Fire Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Gibbs, St. Peter just after 1542 hours today involving one overturned minibus. Two tenders under the command of Divisional Officer Lloydson Phillips and Station Officer Ormond Fenty responded to the incident. On arrival the incident was declared a mass casualty and the mass casualty response system was activated, 18 persons were reported to have received various injuries. The responding agencies included; doctors from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, personnel from the Emergency Ambulance Service, the Barbados Fire Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Roving Response Team and the Department of Emergency Management.
