Abandoned Laundromat Gutted By Fire
The fire alarm was raised just after 0415 hours yesterday morning when a passer-by observed fire in a building at Free Hill, Black Rock, St. Michael. The stone structure which formerly housed a laundromat was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.
Two tenders from Fire Service Headquarters under the command of Divisional Officer Lloydson Phillips and acting Station Officer Denton Foster responded to the blaze. The building along with its contents were gutted by the fire. Police and fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire. (Photo by KP)
