Two Injured In Accident
Two men sustained injuries yesterday during a collision between a truck and a tractor travelling along Highway 2A.The collision occurred near to the Sandy Lane junction in St. James and involved a truck, owned by Elvis King and driven by Ernest Rogers of St. George; and a tractor owned by C.O. Williams and driven by Augusten Alexander of Tichbourne, St. Michael.
The tractor was heading in a northerly direction and the truck travelling in the opposite direction towards Redman’s Village, St. James, when the collision occurred.
Rogers complained of pains to both knees and sustained an abrasion to the left leg, while Alexander sustained abrasions to both hands and complained of pains to his right shoulder. Both drivers were transported from the scene to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and both vehicles were extensively damaged. (NC)
