Mass Casualty Vehicular Accident At Ashbury


A motor vehicle accident involving a Transport Board bus and a motor car at Ashbury, St. George Saturday evening resulted in 29 people, including the bus driver with various types of injuries and one fatality.

The mass casualty incident prompted responses from the Emergency Ambulance Service, Barbados Fire Service, Barbados Defence Force, Royal Barbados Police Force, Roving Response Teams and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The incident claimed the life of the driver of the motor car. Six people were taken to hospital with serious injuries; while 16 others were treated and discharged at the scene.
