Second Mass Casualty Incident At Windsor


While emergency services were busy attending the incident at Ashbury, St. George approximately one hour later a second second mass casualty incident was unfolding at Windsor Road, St. George. With beacons flashing and sirens wailing, alternate crews were dispatched to respond to a report of a three vehicle accident involving an overturned minibus and two other vehicles.

This incident occurred near the junction with Brighton and Lower Greys. Twenty-five people complained of various types of injuries. Six were seriously injured; while nine were treated and discharged at the scene. The others were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by bus.
